Very evocative of early road trips heading west.

One the positive side, there is the effective juxtaposition of the car pointing in the direction of the telephone poles, giving it an ironically dynamic feeling though it is a hulk.  On the negative side,  there are three problems.  One, which is only a minor annoyance, is the telephone pole of the extreme left that is swallowed at its base by the open rear door.  The second is the blackening out of the shadow areas. This can be fixed in Photoshop.  The third is the crowding of the car on the bottom middle and left and the hugh expanse of essentially dull blue sky that does nothing for the composition except to knock it off balance.  Yet taking these problems into account, the composition has an overall crude but effective power.  Possibly cutting into the extreme shadows of the rear of the car could effectively counterpoint the merciless and overwhelming blue of the sky in upper right.  

I believe that the best way to reshoot this scene would be to either break the "get closer" rule and step back, or to get down flat on your stomach with a wide angle lens close to the car and shoot up.
