Hello Rudolf,

The idea behind this "mise en scène", with the (formal) interaction between the small sculpture and the model, surely is interesting. I also think (without being a specialist in the matter) that your light management is technically very good: all colors, especially the white tones, are full of nuance.

Said this, to me, your picture looks both too explicit and too clean to really evoke emotions. Hard to discover more than what we see at the first glance. Paradoxically, your good light management, by revealing so much, also is responsible for that lack of mystery in my opinion.

Finally, I'm not 100 % sure whether the model felt confortable in that pose (but I understand you needed it like that) and I also have the feeling that she is too much aware of the presence of your camera, rather than of the presence of the sculpture behind her (see the look in her eyes).

Of course, this only is my very personal opinion. Do feel free to (dis)agree ;o)

Well, if an ordinary porn pose and ordinary lighting with a statue thrown in amounts to being a masterpiece, then I guess you could call it that.

Rudolf, you cannot judge John Henneberger's comments by looking at his images

he doesn't need to take perfect shots to comment and tell his feelings about your photo, i should also say that i didn't like this image even though i like most of your images. Pose of the model showing her genitals directly to our eyes has nothing tot do with nude art in my opinion. But of course others may like it.

Each sees in the picture what he wants and what can.

I like the lighting however find the skin to be blotchy.

The pose, well as has been commented, is simple porn but each to their own. 

The most distracting thing I see here is the tan lines.  It leaps out of the page for me.

On a positive, I love the flow of her hair.  Shame about the obvious 'gash' shot.

Nice, but adult. No nude...

Relooking at this I think Erik is wrong about the model being "uncomfortable, quite contraire' she looks very comfortable and I like the model to be looking at the camera aka viewer verses staing at a wall or off somewhere else.

Composition, lighting, focus are all perfect.  Lovely model expressing her intimate form beautifully.  Artistic and erotic.  Executed perfectly--nothing simple about this image.  Excellent!

This is an amazing image, how do you get that "painted" treatment on it? if you don't mind me asking.
