Bello e spiritoso progetto,a mio vedere avrei preferito vedere gli occhi della modella ,come i modelli sopra.

Hi Doug, immediate impression says this is preferred over the other (without blossoms on the wall); it offers context even without a title.

I must admit that I'm struggling to 'understand' the series. It's clear from reading your extensive explanation that there was considerable thought given but the pictures aren't easy to correlate with the concept, at least for me.

Perhaps I'm looking for something more intuitive and simpler to 'get', like imperfect people through imperfect camera work, not necessarily with a flower in the frame but perhaps something suggestive and understated.

I'm also having difficulty correlating the flower in the mouth with the notion of "if I stepped out of my body" as ones mouth is rarely the the inhibitor.

Then there's the pictures of all these beautiful people, beautifully portrayed. Breaking out of their inhibitions, perhaps, but I can't imagine blossoming more than they already are.

Just a bit of honest feedback. There's much to appreciate from these images and I am trying to get it.

Paul,

Thank you.  You are correct. It would be better to see her eyes.

Michael, yes, I sometimes wonder about it, too, which is probably why I keep doing them.  But I often think that humans are too much addicted to meaning.  The first shot in this series was impromptu, the concept just a glimmer in a reflection on the pool symbolism, I guess, by which I mean it was a small tool to keep the photo shoot moving.  That picture appealed to me in a great way, and it didn't matter to me what it meant, or how closely it conveyed that brief idea that brought it into existence.  I liked it because it was beautiful.  I hope "getting" these pictures is not required to appreciate them.   As for stepping out of the body, it seems natural to me that the blossom would sprout from the throat, but keep in mind that this is also a fusion of the James Wright excerpt, and the adage to say something nice, or say nothing at all, with this particular picture leaning more towards the former.  I plan to continue with it, maybe I'll eventually hit on the perfect combination of flower, expression and location that sums it up succinctly.  Or, maybe I won't....who knows?  Thanks for your feedback--it's very valuable, and very much appreciated.
