Claw

Very nice catch of an interesting subject. Looks like a claw of a dragon trying to climb out of it's cave. Nice detail and composition as well.

Really cool shot Bill. Like your chosen POV.  Great emphasis on the CLAW, and at the same time I can't help but think the remainder is a curling serpant or dragon.....or the claw has it's grip on the same.  Good control of light and shadow, rendering a very effective image.  Well done!  was this a 'carving' or part of the root of a tree?  Very entriguing...congrats!Gail

You got it Gail, It's part of a carving on a tree. There is a park area in Pickering that has a number of these dotted around. This one was an Eagle clasping a snake.
