ferdinand 0 Posted July 26, 2010 Very interesting composition and editing. There is almost an architectural dimension to this, as if the model were a stained glass feature. Very attractive. Link to comment
karen rexrode 0 Posted July 26, 2010 I will be interested to hear if anyone agrees on my choice of desaturation. I have given this image a more aged look, like something from the 20's or 30's. Thanks. Link to comment
spr 0 Posted July 26, 2010 Like the pose and the concept with this one use the shapes of the pose to make the shape of the curve. The toning works for me. The only niggle of me where the knees cross it makes a funny shape and seem to draw the eye. Link to comment
karen rexrode 0 Posted July 26, 2010 Yes, there is something about that intersection that is good and then not. I might be able to black it out. Thank-you for your input. Link to comment
Elstad 3 Posted July 28, 2010 Very well made indeed Karen and yes, I like the post work you've done here and the 'aged' look you've given it. It has an almost religious feel with the shape of all the elements including the figure(s). Very Fine Work Indeed! The elements that are created by the 'intersection' work very well for me too they do. They have almost the same value light wise as the upper torso. If it was the only area of the same value it would be a 'problem' but as it stands it works quite well. -r- Link to comment
malzati 0 Posted July 28, 2010 This image got my attention. It is a very interesting composition. I agree with the architectural dimension of it. I like the desaturation as well. I would like to the the right arm in the frame though. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted July 29, 2010 It is interesting to see that Raymond Ellstad has been here. When I saw the thumbnail, it was he that stepped into my head. I neither like or dislike the desaturation. However, I do like the image a great deal! Link to comment
