Thanks Tony, Kombizz and Rashed. Rashed, you have commented on many of my photos - thanks for your time and kind words.

Roger,

I apologize for not answering your last comment - I'm glad you told me about it because I had no idea of your comment - over a month ago!

Thanks for the info on the arum topic. Re: hay. We live in Birch River, WV, about the geographical center of the state in the low mountains. Our farm is about 250 acres, mostly woods, all hillsides and valleys. We make hay on about 10 acres for our few goats , sheep and donkeys. We grow all our own vegetables (organically) as well as make our own cheese (goats) freeze milk for yoghurt year round, have meat from the goats and sheep.

While we are technically retired, we made our living from the farm for 20 yrs making organic chevre, our time from spring till early winter is at a premium with all the demands of the farm. My wife said to tell you she knows exactly about the 2 wheel tractors of which you speak and the culture of using everything. Even now while I mow the hay with our 50hp  4wd tractor, she gets every bit of grass from under the fence lines - albeit with a weed eater- not scissors. Don't give her ideas :) She will then drive the other 4wd tractor to rake the hay while I bale it. Getting it in dry is always a challenge in the mountains.

Thanks for commenting and we always enjoy your Swiss memoirs and photos.

Cheers,

Greg
