I share your 'thinking' Hamid.  There have been many trees, when I see them, I recall as old friends. They seem to be subjected to the many 'seasonal changes' we are. And they age can be measured in 'lines'. This well processed photo reminds me of what I notice when I 'revisit' these Old Friends.

As the sunlight filters through the foilage, I notice their roots, and if they are still strong and deep; are their leaves escaping climate changes and infections; is that spot where I have always like to sit, escaped damage from strangers? And I always enjoy feeling their marvelous textures that seem to reveal their 'character'.  Congrats on a very fine addtion to your Portfolio. This 'old friend' has probably provided shelter to many animals and birds, and shade to many on a very hot day.  Warm regards, Gail

I agree wholeheartedly with Gail with regard to this "Old Friend"

Sometimes, when I get to old trees I have a tendency to stop and touch them first for a while per chance to make contact and feel the energies that flow in it. Many people might say but it's just a tree, then I will just silently whisper to it and tell it to grow taller than ever and be proud. On various ocassions on life's journey you might come across one which you can see has been battered by nature and still it's roots grew larger and longer on top of the soil to hang in better to make a stand.I have to say these trees should be preserved for Generations to follow to view and take good care of.

Oooops, just now I get carried away to much since I have always been a tree lover myself and have cried many a times when I have come across a area where I knew the old trees were standing tall and they had just been cut off for nothing but 'firewood'

Congratulations on your 'old friend' capture....which I'm sure is going to get many people to stop and pass comments.

Warmest Regards

I too agree with Gail. Old friend indeed. Love the color and light. The polarizer's effect on the sky and on some of the foreground is very nice.

Cheers
