markvmueller 0 Posted July 20, 2010 Probably one of the most moving moments I experienced in the wild. Anelephant had died most probably of anthrax close to a waterhole. Formore than a week another elephant stayed by its dead companion and didnot let any scavanger and predator come close. It could have not beenmore symbolic than for the elephant to reach out with his trunk andsay goodbye before finally leaving. Link to comment
