maurocarli 0 Posted July 22, 2010 The ideal IMHO would be a little more contrast in the foreground but keeping it as is in the background, I mean the town walls included. In any case, I find it a beautiful and fascinating view. I also love the warm and soft colour toning. Regards! Link to comment
margatt 9 Posted July 24, 2010 Wow! Great treatment of the image to produce the color and mood. One of the best shots in the forum today. Did you happen to get a panorama of the town?? Link to comment
sigfridlopez 0 Posted July 24, 2010 Not actually! I was just coming back from Limoges and I stopped by the resting area of the Belvedere :). I was lucky that the sun was setting at that time, and therefore the light was soft enough not to create hard shadows. I just took some close-ups of the city walls, without any tripod or anything else (so no panorama, sorry). I have applied an extra saturation and some light warming filter. I did just a soft enhancement of blacks and darkening of whites. I guess that an extra contrast would have sort of spoiled the soft feeling of the sunset, in a way. Thanks for commenting!
