Dale,

Kathy is a beautiful girl with a lovely smile. Her skin tone is good (a little light on the right side of her face). The composition is good. The contrast is quite good and the color saturation is very good. I like her make-up

The orange/red color in the background draws my attention away from Kathy's face. You don't want anything that distracts from her face. There is something in the lower right corner that shouldn't be there (blueish stripes).

Watch your depth of field. There are parts of Kathy that are out of focus. I don't see a good reason to have any of her out of focus. An out of focus background is very nice and focuses attention on your subject. Parts of your subject out of focus will draw attention away from what is in focus. It is difficult to go wrong with having the entire subject in focus.

It appears she is looking a little below and to the right of the camera (viewer). It is hard to tell with the catch light on the white of her eye and her iris. It would be better to have the catch light reflecting from the iris of the eye only. If not making eye contact with the camera (viewer), the eyes should follow the line of the nose. It is natural to look where your head is pointing. If looking off to the side you should show what she is looking at or provide a reason that she is not looking where her head is pointing.

Kathy has a beautiful long neck. I would not have her bend her neck forward with her head tilted somewhat up. The position looks a little uncomfortable and unnatural. I would have her sit up straight with good posture and show off her neck.

Your advertising (Photo vancouverphotographer@gmail.com) is not part of the photograph.  Your name could be properly placed on a mat surrounding the photograph. Any advertising would be better placed on the back of the photograph.

Nice shot,

Mark
