MichaelChang 12 Posted July 19, 2010 Lighthouses are so interesting, wish there was one around here. I guess including water in the shot was not possible? As you say, it is what it is. I don't think bringing out shadow details will do much either, but it looks fine as it is.I see pictures like this and wonder about all the fun possibilities - layering bracketed shots, light painting, long exposure to catch the stars. dougityb 0 Posted July 19, 2010 Hi Michael. The water was behind me.... a sunrise shot, but still, there was a huge sand dune so a water/lighthouse shot would have to be from an aircraft. Light painting might have been a good idea. Maybe using a super wide angle lens and getting closer, too? Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted July 21, 2010 As an ex-U.S. Coast Guardsman, I love seeing these light houses! I was stationed just a few miles up the road from this one too, at Sea Isle City (Townsend's Inlet, NJ). Thanks! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
