The trouble with most pictures people post of cats is that they lack human

Many thanks for your comment. I'm intrigued by the many "3" ratings this image has gotten. I suppose people are reacting to the person's being out of focus; but of course, the image is actually of the cat. As usual, I wish the "3" raters would take the time to speak up.

... about those 3 ratings... F*&! those spineless dicks that give anonomous 3's Barry. They are either just jealous or are religeous bigots in the guise of an art critic. F... em all! Some day I'll let you know what I really feel :=]

I think this image is quite fun my friend though I do wish you had gotten that other hand. Looks like you are on the path of solving your model quest. Ask her to send her friends to you too.

More about the ratings... I personally never give them as I cannot put a rating on someone elses art, so I just make comments... or not.

I used to rate images, but the more I did so, the less I had any idea what I was doing. I agree about the hand -- when I tried to correct that problem, the cat wouldn't listen to me. It just walked away. It's really hard to get good models these days.

Thanks, Bob. With your 6/6, I now have three bottom ratings and two nearly top ratings. Though your standards are obviously correct, you have to wonder what, if any standards the other people are using . . .

This all happened right after I changed my zoom for a 100mm prime. The cat then walked onto the set, and I frantically backed up to the back wall of my studio trying to get everything to fit into the frame.

Zooming out a bit and shifting a bit to the left before shooting would have made an excellent picture!

Thanks; I totally agree. If only I hadn't just changed my zoom for a prime (see my above comment about backing up frantically to the wall of my studio). Unfortunately, the cat didn't wait around for me . . . Well, next time, maybe.
