Fabrizio,

What a cutie! She has such a soft wonderful expression that it makes you want to hug her!

You have focused well on her eyes. She has beautiful skin tone. I like the soft lighting. The color of the hat goes very well with her skin tone. The braided hair makes her look young and innocent. Of course, so do her "puppy dog" eyes. Her make-up is very good. The eyeliner under her eyes frames them well and helps to make them stand out. The catch lights really gives life to her eyes.

The background is nicely neutral except for the light area next to her left cheek. That is a bit annoying and distracting.

Her upper arm, in the lower right corner, draws my attention away from her face. Sleeveless clothing in head and shoulders portraits can cause problems. You want the viewer’s eyes to go to the subject's face without constantly jumping to her arm or shoulder. You do not want her face to compete with any other light areas in your photograph.

If you would move her left shoulder back and pose her at an angle to the camera, her body would look thinner, more feminine, graceful and elegant.

Your subject should have more room in front of her than behind. This allows her to be facing into the picture, not out of it. You want to compositionally balance the left and right sides of the photograph. The compositional "rule" for this suggests that you position the tip of the subject's nose in the vertical center of the photograph. This little rule almost always works well. At least, it gives you a very good starting point to position your subject.

Your name and the date are not part of the photograph. It would be appropriate to place your name and the date on the mat.

Nice shot,

Mark

She's beautiful Fabrizio....I can't help but think she is one of your children....forgive me if I'm wrong, but in this pose she does not look like one of the other 'models' I am thinking  of....much younger.  And she seems to have the 'likeness' of your son.  That aside, I think you've got a beautiful shot here, lovely skin tones, soft complimentary lighting.....she is a 'beauty'....Warmest Regards, (I guess I'm not kidding, here it is very warm in your country), Gail
