''Mastodonicon''

This is more interesting than it first appears... there is a lot of

fine detail that can be seen when viewed in larger sizes.

It sparkles, it shines, it seduces my eyes...and again - means nothing particular to me, resembles nothing in my memory?! I haven't seen nothing like it before? Must be that, it's from another world very different from mine. Aaah, my lousy English can't express what I want to say! Or I don't know what to say!

Your English serves you quite well my friend.  I am glad that you had a close look and found the real interest in this image.

The two prominent upturned curves on the right side reminded me strongly of mastodon tusks... hence the title.  Beyond that, I liked the flow of light and the fine textures within the image. 

The development of the textural lines was a semi-conscious decision resulting from the choice of a particular transform that I would not normally have used on this composition. I guess my internal muse was guiding my actions.  I just 'went with the flow'...

Your observation that this image did not relate to your world is, for me, a good thing.  I always strive to create images the will expand the viewers' cognitive space and not just reinforce what was there already.  Welcome to a bit of My World ;-))
