Lineups at the Ribfest Vendor Booths were long ! But the enthusiasum

and frivolity of the Vendors, despite the SMOKE !, got us all in the mood

for some good food and a good time! (placed this shot 'askew'...must

have been something I enhaled from all that 'rib'N Sauce Smoke' !

Gail,

Wonderful creative image.  Looks like you had a great time at the ribfeast. I hope the food was as good as your image's are. Take care, Patsy

Good image Gail. It captures the spirit of the day, smoke and lots of enjoyment. Exposure and presentation of the print hold the tonal values very well.

It's interesting to see you combining documentary work with your PP techniques.

All my best,   Bill

Gail!

This is a very different and superb piece of artwork with this combination of frame to frame! The exact meaning of the overall picture remained unclear for me but eye catching and artful.

Hamid.

Thank you very much for your visit and  kind words. Re the Frames and layering, it is something I like to experiment with and have done  real 'compilations'  either in designing, when I was in Printing Sales, or similar when we used to have our own Limited Editon Art Prints Gallery out of our home. Your support and time is much appreciated, sincerely, Gail

I'm still thinking of that great comp you did with the 'horse'.  I must go back and visit it again, hoping to find out just what breed of horse it was.  Beautiful animal and you did such a great job.  Glad you liked this shot and I always know you can interpret my work almost instantly.  Many thanks Patsy, talk again soon, (tnks for your mail...truly enjoyed), sincere appreciation, Gail

So glad you enjoyed this image.  When it comes to events such as this, I thought, why not compose the image in the 'spirit' of the fun and good time had by all.  I especially wanted to show this fellow in such a way, as he seemed to be the happiest of them all, and really 'worked' the crowd.

Your encouragement is much appreciated Bill.  Thankyou again for taking the time to share your thoughts with me.  Sincerely, Gail

It's always nice to know when someone is of 'like mind' and enjoys the 'creative' side of things.  It really is an 'effort' for me NOT to want to experiment, but I always enjoyed painting and drawing before really getting into Digital Photography.  Perhaps that is where this tendancy comes from.  Whatever it is, I'm glad when there are those who enjoy the image.  Once again, thanks for your visit and support, Sincerely, Gail

Lovely to hear from you, and even a nicer treat to hear your kind words.  The feedback from others is so important, and our days are always busy.  I don't get around to commenting as much as I would like.  The talent on PN gets more professional all the time and I am always amazed by many of the images.  Some I don't rate, as I truly believe they deserve a 7, a 6 would be an insult, and you can only give out so many 7's.

Talk again soon, and will drop by for a visit, sincerely, Gail

Once a year, we have what we call 'Ribfest' as do other towns during the summer. Vendors set up their grilling apparatus and they have a bit of a contest to see who can cook the best Pork ribs.  Some also serve Chicken.  This particular Vendor had his grill so hot, and truly believed in 'smoking' the ribs from what I can tell.  Smoke will come off the grill if you spray a bit of water on it also.  The sight of the smoke also adds to the 'effect' and over all 'mood'.  I hope this explains it better.  Thankyou for your visit and kind words.  Sincerely, Gail
