Mysterious sightings of strange lights are often attributed to 'swampgas'... rather than a more reasoned and rational explanation of the'sighting'.

This is my version of Swamp Gas. ;-))

Well I've sure smelled 'swamp gas' and almost thought I saw the 'Swamp Thing'.......one experience I'll never forget! Back in my 7 Mile days, I was on a date with a fella I met there.  We decided to take his little boat out on the lake. The sky was clear, stars were beautiful, not too many bugs. He let me take over the steering wheel of the boat......'there's your sign !'......first mistake....I warned him....but I had no idea where I was going, and lights from the shore were easy to see, but I had no idea where the 'dock' where we left from was!

So I told him to take over the wheel, and before we knew it, we had slammed right into a very thick swamp!  He got out and tried to pull us free but couldn't.  Ended up having to spend the night in the swamp, in a crappy little boat, 'no head'....no blankets, no flashlight, no blow horn or flares....! But he was a perfect gentleman, gave me his coat, and we tried our best to keep warm.  We awoke early to the FOG.....and saw that we were only a short distance from a cottage. But the SMELL  during the night was ' putrid'. We ended up going out for quite awhile, and just as your image is so COLORFUL AND BRIGHT........ The story did the same. But sure was fun to tell! I just wish I could figure out just how you do this...but if I knew how, I wouldn't need to come and visit so often! Beautiful SWAMP GAS Dave! Sincerely, Gail
