You may be right about the light; a brighter foreground and a darker background... next time :)

The composition is very good! A strong image, I like it a lot.

It is a very nice composition, I din't know what is the blue part/rusty form  in the FG, but it has an interesting look. I think that a bit reducing the BG intensity( which is a bit of a competition) will enhance even more the nice FG.
