In the 50s I owned an Exacta exactly like this. Exacta and Nikon were the top-of-line SLR 35mm cameras.  Germany was divided after the war; Exacta Corp was located in East Germany. Soviet Union just could not make cameras and that I suppose accounts for thedemise of Exakta.
