Michael, I came back two or three times and i decided that I liked it.  I was at first a little disoriented by the colouring that I now decided helps to convey the slightly vintage look that  I find very appealing.  A face in the crowd and a wonderful one at that.

Beautiful portrait with a special, timeless quality.  I like your subject's expression as well as your lovely composition.  However, I find the touch of green distracting and a little unflattering to your model.  It would be interesting to see the same image without the green but, instead, with colour (if it's needed at all) in her pupils.

Thank you (and John Peri) for your observations.  As I have had to confess in the past, I have a mild red/green color deficiency, and I simply cannot see the green you mention.  This is why I "mostly" stick to B&W, but even that doesn't always save me!  :o)

Actually, this image is one I took on a Mamiya 645 in the eighties and then used on the model comp card I designed for Carie.  (I no longer have the photo or the negative, but I do have the comp card.)  I actually just digitally shot this copy off of the comp card, so the image is going to include whatever inaccuracies the printer induced.
