Light at the end of the tunnel

I join you, Tim. I live in a small town in California. Today, all the streets were blocked off, and some people have as many as FIFTEEN!! flags on the front porch for a parade that took up half the town. Yet, as the country's economy stays in the toilet, we are mired in two wars--Iraq and Afghanistan--that show no sign of ending, with our supposed "antiwar" president appearing at the G20 summit blasting those "obsessed with ending the war in Afghanistan". Somebody actually wrote the words "obsessed" on his teleprompter and he read it like Ron Burgundy. It's difficult not to lament what has become of this once great nation.

Maybe it´s time to repeat the words of W. Churchill in 1940 under the blitz:

" This is our finest hours",,,,,
