Another beautiful capture of this stunning model.  I like the open space to the right.  As always, thank you for sharing.

Beautiful girl, I really like the composition. The empty space on her left gives this shot a touch of elegance.

Andrew,

She is a very beautiful girl. You have focused very well on her eyes. She has good eye contract with the camera (viewer). I find her expression somewhat seductive -- very nice. I actually like that her hair is covering some of her left eye. It adds to the feeling that she is so involved with the viewer that she doesn't care that her hair is in front of her eye. Her skin tone is very good. Her make-up is very nice. The eyeliner under her eyes helps to frame them and make them stand out. I really like the specular highlights on her lips. Her lighting is excellent. The shadows on her face add interest and help to create an illusion of depth within your photograph. The background is nicely out of focus.

You have used a horizontal format for a vertical subject. There is nothing in the background that tells anything about your subject. There is really no reason for it to be there. A vertical format may have worked better for this subject with this background. I am not sure the slightly diagonal "vertical" lines work very well, anyway.

One catch light per eye is preferred.

You want to compositionally balance the left and right sides of the photograph. The compositional "rule" for this suggests that you position the tip of the subject's nose in the vertical center of the photograph. This little rule almost always works well. At least, it gives you a very good starting point to position your subject. Your top and bottom compositional balance is excellent.

Nice shot,

Mark

Mark,

Thanks for your comments. I hope that I will eventually learn from your critiques and be a beter photographer.

I tried this image in a vertical format but I like it this way more.

Regards,

Andrew

The way the model's eyes was caught makes me linger at the image much longer. Full of emotion into it. Beautiful portrait!

A lovely and natural image that leaves the viewer feeling a little better than before. When a picture does that you know it is a good one.
