dombr 8 Posted July 16, 2010 The curves in the sky and at the beach have attacted my attention to this view. Link to comment
laceyhughes 0 Posted July 16, 2010 Keep an eye on your horizon. This one dips down on the left a considerable amount. I do like the car coming around the corner. I might also suggest a crop. For me, there's too much open space not really adding to the photograph. Lacey Link to comment
dombr 8 Posted July 17, 2010 Thank you Lacey for your suggestion. As for me, I prefer the original image because of a more peaceful atmosphere... Link to comment
Jeff Lear 0 Posted July 17, 2010 I don't think either iteration is any more or less peaceful. I do, however feel that the dipping horizon in the original is distracting. The composition doesn't hold my attention very well, there's too much going on and too much foreground. Tree, car, gravel, ocean, distant land mass, clouds... I can't say that I see a subject here and the sum of the parts of this photograph, while not bad, fail to captivate me. Link to comment
