The rose in this shot is a very nice one and I have a few more of it, but

when I was working on it, I got thinking about how many lives are lived in

this kind of love, almost as if you have to 'fight' through the 'cobwebs'

before you can see the 'real rose', and far too often it seems that some

don't consider the effort worthwhile. If only they knew the 'fragrance'

and 'beauty' of the hybrid that waits beneath, was truly worth the 'effort'.

Some may say 'True Friends are hard to find'.....perhaps they just aren't

looking hard enough. (your thought are always welcome)

Gail... by any other name...  Is a beautiful 'rose' of a friend.

I had to say that because that is what was in my heart... as I feel many others have thought, or are thinking at this moment.

Even with the 'cobwebs of time' you will remain a 'rose' to those who have come to know you.

I like your commentary. True beauty lies within. Some people will never see the the true beauty. They only look at the surface.  You have the eye and sense to find it. Thanks for sharing. Gail

It’s an image with fragrance and beauty of love. A creatively composed flower shot with aroma of beautiful life.

Love is never forgotten….

Best regards.

A sense of beauty ignored, waiting to be tended and cared for. Too much of this can be found in life. This is a lovely composite Gail with a very powerful and well illustrated message.

The image itself is nicely exposed with good tones and composition. The colours and framing are also great.

Keep this one in that book of "photo feelings" It's definitely a keeper that speaks to the viewer.

All my best,  Bill

Beautiful job Gail. You have a way of capturing the beauty and essence of your subject and presenting it at it's best. All my best, Jim.

A familiar subject with a creative twist  - well done I have to eat what ever you are consuming and it will probably not work for me. Best regards,

"If only they knew the 'fragrance' and 'beauty' of the hybrid that waits beneath... " Heavy stuff.

I think you're probably eating quite well......your creativity is at an all time high as far as I can see.....I think there are so many 'roses' out there who are 'never truly seen'.  Sad...hollow, lonely lives. 'Fast food' relationships', no wonder so many 'roses wilt and die'. Just like a photo, it can take many layers to arrive at the final image...but unless ones truly looks at the  image, they will never truly see the layers.

It's good to know you 'understand' the rose. Thanks for your visit Tony, and kind words. Sincerely, Gail

It is to said we often have forgotten the things, the persons who we have loved.

Nice combination: love in something like spider net.  Ed
