Thanks all for the comments. The only filter used was the graduated neutral density filter to darken the sky, the reflected pink is from the sky. Thanks, Eric

This photo reminds me of a Salvadore Dali painting with the pastel colors and empytyness. Great composition. This photo belongs in a fine art gallery. Very well done. This is the first photo I've rated 7,7!

Eric, Just enough sky revealed to display the range of colours. Priority was wisely given to the foreground where most of the the interesting stuff lies. Great composition from what must have been, at first glance, been a flatly lit, uninteresting prairie scene. You've snatched 'interesting' from the jaws of 'dull'. Best, LM.

Eric, Interesting result when one plays with the contrast on this one. See tweeked version. Stronger? Weaker? Still beautiful in any case. Best, LM.

Len,

Thanks for taking the time to show me your interpretation. There is probably some room to increase the contrast, but I don't think I'd take it quite as far as you did. A higher contrast version probably has more immediate impact, but I think it's less true to the gentleness of a cool, early winter night.

cheers,

Eric

Stay with the low contrast as you intend. It's beautiful, subtle : I'd like to blast this to wall size for moments when I forget true Beauty and the resultant serenity.

I love the combination of the alien and serene in your 'space' works Eric. A fine example of your skill as an original interpreter of the landscape. Excellent work.

Haven't seen anything like this in a while. Nice combination.
