Wonderful effect for this shot Fabrizio. The fact that she is lacing up her bustier can be so very 'symbolic' of very many things. Perhaps she is comtemplating even yet another scratch on her already damaged soul; perhaps she is lacing it up and saying 'goodbye' to a relationship where she has been abused and treated less than a 'doormat'. No longer will she accept demeaning treatment or the humiliation that comes with it; perhaps it is an 'act' of forgiveness....one cannot fee true selfworth until they are able to 'forgive themselves'.

She bears the 'scratches', she is the one who bleeds, while her abusers have already forgiven themselves before they even commit the 'act'. There comes a time when the 'woman within' rises up and finally realizes that even though she thought she was 'giving untold pleasure /  despite the pain', she truly was replaceable and only of any 'use' during the time she was being used'.

No longer will she accept being tossed aside like a dirty rag. The healing must begin and she will journey to find 'self-worth' and re-learn to love herself again. The 'ribbons' that so easily were undone before,  will now be the guardians of the new woman whose 'scratches', as they slowly heal, will reveal a beautiful soul - so deserving of being loved and respected.

I have rambled, but your photo with its simple yet very effective texture, is so much more meaningful than many will ever realize.  Thankyou for sharing, Gail

I like the result of the composition with the scratches.I like as well the function of her hand on her white dress. Well composed using B/W choice. Is the scratches  a part of a window "shopping" ? or your own making?....;-))
