pnital 36 Posted July 4, 2010 It is a beautiful "carpet" of flowers. I like the forms differences and color palette. Is it still from your shoe box?.....I have just returned from a week in St. Petersburg. Europe, beautiful, but for sure not the western side....I wish you well. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted July 4, 2010 Welcome back! Lots of interesting and beautiful places on earth but no place like home. Not from the old shoebox; new stuff. This Clematis seems to thrive on the south wall of our home. Couldn't resist a frame or two after a recent rain. I like your term 'carpet of flowers' to describe it. Fitting, but since it hangs on the wall 'tapestry' also seems appropriate! Thanks for your visit. Best, LM. Link to comment
kathyb 37 Posted July 10, 2010 Very pretty! My neighbor has these but the background is ugly green siding. I guess the trick is to get really close up! Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted July 10, 2010 Thanks for your thoughts. This is a rather thick bush so no siding\brickwork visible. I'll be posting a close up soon of a single bloom I took at the same session. Stay tuned. Best, LM. Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted July 24, 2010 Thanks for taking the time to view & comment. Much appreciated. The deep rich colours are what prompted me to get the camera out in the first place. Best, LM. Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted July 27, 2010 Good to have your input. As a reward I'll let you in on a little secret; bury a dead fish beneath the clematis's roots. I did that 30 years ago & it's still paying off. :-) Best, LM. Link to comment
