maurocarli 0 Posted July 3, 2010 I'm crazy about close-ups of dripping leaves! And these are very well photographed and eye-catching, thanks also to the beautiful shade of green you have obtained. Regards! Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted July 3, 2010 I took this one after I'd finished my photos of the blooms. Seemed like a good idea at the time. The original file was a tad bright so I toned it down a bit in Photoshop. Yeh, who could resist a plant, blooms or leaves, which are covered in raindrops? Thanks for your visit. Always a pleasure. greg mccracken 13 Posted July 8, 2010 This is awesome, Len! It really jumps out at you! Beautifully sharp and great contrasts! Not to mention the composition! Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted July 8, 2010 Long time, no see. I didn't have to go anywhere exotic for this one. (backyard). Sometimes the good stuff is right under your nose. Thanks for taking the time. Give me a heads up if you are ever in the neighborhood. At least we'll have time for a coffee, at best perhaps a few hours photographing whatever. Best, LM. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted July 18, 2010 Really jumps out at me, almost 3D look you got form this motif. Superb light and contrast. One drop near the center is a bit too "hot" and could be distracting. You can copy the color there with the stamp tool. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted July 19, 2010 Thanks for the tip (stamp tool). I'll experiment with that. The 'hot' spot does create a bit of tension when it attracts the eye. Hadn't considered whether that was a positive or a negative element but I like your version better I think. Best, LM. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted July 29, 2010 Lily leaves after a rain. Your thoughts\critiques will be gratefully received. Best, LM. Link to comment
kathyb 37 Posted July 30, 2010 Nice angle, detail and color saturation! Rain drops are always a bonus in nature shots! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted July 30, 2010 Perhaps not too abstract. Lovely colour rendition although the darker bottom half is a touch disappointing. Fine otherwise. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted July 30, 2010 Thanks for weighing in here. You've given me a couple of previously unconsidered features to think about. And that's basically the reason for posting in the first place. Best, LM. Link to comment
