I hesitated to upload this Image, as it appears a bit cruel. Finally and

after all it is a document of nature, so I decided to show. It shows very

rare cannibalism under Polarbears.

Thanks for looking and please judge the Photo and not the created

emotion ... appreciate!

Best regards Fred

Painful yet beautiful. Surprising with Polar Bears populations in danger. I wonder about the dark shape in the background. I find it a bit distracting.

Dark 'shape' in background is what I would call a Rock. Think it was just there ... very natural and impressive Document of Nature. Best regards!

I've seen this picture before, but... Where? Nat Geo? It brings a deep impact. Congratulations for be there. Poor cub.

This is a difficult image for me to rate Fred. It has tremendous visual impact and is therefore a strong image in my opinion. However, it does not particularly appeal to me from an asthetic pespective and while the subject matter / behavior captured is unique, the image does not particularly convey a signinficant originality in terms of the way that it is portrayed (a 'flaw' that is common to many of my images, as well). From my perspective, it is a pretty awesome documentary image. I am just going to refrain from rating this one on asthetics and originality.

Could this have not been the polar bear's own cub? Maybe it was injured or dead but was being carried by the mother?

The picture's message is powerful but the picture itself is not quite as impressive.

7/7 - a very appealing image, great shot and stunning work. May be the title is a little bit too "ironic"?

Bill: thanks for your comment, it was killed from a big Male, the Mother was still around and was always chased when getting too close ... it was a process of about 2 hrs ... we saw the kill from far away, rushing to the spot on Vehicle, until meal was finished.

Well, I hesitated myself to upload, and i will not upload more of this topic, but is was so strange opportunity I wanted to show this one.

Thanks all other, and no, title not meaned cynical, frankly spoken I would not know better one ... it was a cruel scene. With best regards - Fred
