Try looking at the shapes, colors and style, and then think about what'empire' I may have been thinking of... It IS an 'abstract' afterall! ;-)

The answer is yours... I am not giving any reply as to myinspiration...

It's safer and gentler that way... ;-)

I can not but admire what you've done here Dave! Hey, what about comradeship, I haven't seen you my place for weeks and I now have new stuff?!

By the way dabar means beaver in at least three languages! The three Slavic languages I speak! Ciao comrade!

Interesting linguistic side-note my friend.  I have always been rather fond of beavers.

And... I spell it DaBar with double caps...

Since the 15th, when my best friend died, in my house, I have been VERY busy with the funeral, burial and various annoying government 'stuff' that I took responsibility for in the absence of any family of his.

To add to my problems during this same period my internet has been down for several days... Phew..

Thanks again for your friendship and support.

No doubt working on these fine compositions has been a much needed distraction and relief of sorts to your personal responsibilities of the last week or so Dave.  Life leaves none of us  unscathed emotionally when it comes to the realities does it?  But you create your own worlds within the walls of PN and share them with us all.  This one in particular is very intricate and and of beautfiul light, color and dimension.

I've thought much of you and your 'friend'. He was so fortunate he had YOU to count on, when he needed a place to say 'farewell'. A good friend at his side, one whom he knew had his best interests at heart. Speaking in the 'language of tears' is not always easy, but necessary. Another journey, a new one, possibly for you, having to arrange it all. I hope that your artistic distractions give you some solace, and know others are thinking of you. I'm glad you surround yourself within the 'dimension of LIGHT'.....thankyou for your support, your sharing of your images, and the friendship you show so many of us.....sincerely, Gail
