The one comment I've gotten is "cluttered." Not sure that I agree,

so I'm opening it fo debate. Takers?

(Other comments, preferably over one word, are appeciated as always.)

too much life? it looks nice. i AM though missing somebody sitting on that bench. perhaps i have been shooting models so much lately that my bias has shifted. but it seems empty without someBODY.

i would have probably shot this if i walked by as well. perhaps from as a wide angle from across the street.

I'd like a little more (less??) angle to the front of the buildings but I suspect you might have been against the wall across the street allready.

I like it.

Thanks for the comments. I tried a wider angle of the same scene, but could not avoid getting a white patch of cloudy sky, which would have showed up as a blown out highlight. As for a less oblique angle, I don't know; I guess I like the lines as is.

I wouldn't say cluttered either, cluttered implies lots of unrelated things in the photo, but the houses, windows and plants complement each other well and form a nice pattern. I would have to agree that it seems like there coud've been something else in the picture, like a foreground element, but I'm not sure what would have been appropriate.

I like the cobbles creating the line from right to left (or left to right) but I find it a bit distracting with the roofs cut off. Since the houses seem fairly narrow it would be interesting to have seen them in a portrait photograph instead of landscape, and perhaps only picking out a few of them. Also possibly from a lower angle which might how off the lines in the cobbles a bit more. Of course, only my speculation, not having shot anything like this before. Very interesting image.
