With the steeple off-centered and the perspective being from the ground, my gaze tends to follow it upward first.  The horizon line on the bottom third with the bulk of the building also makes the steeple seem to reach heavenward.  The overall colour is neutral, which suits the time of year, with a pop of red at the top.  The silhouette of the tree branches gives texture and intricacies in the bright sky and for framing the steeple.
