sgust 1 Posted July 24, 2012 Nice shot of an interesting old building. But to point out what I think could be done to improve upon it I did a quick edit of your image. I hope you don't mind the suggestions. First off it's a little tilted, easy enough to fix post capture. Also I find that with most architectural things it's beneficial to apply some perspective control to get the parallel vertical lines parallel again. I never really noticed this till someone showed me, after which I found it can improve an image quite a bit. And finally a small nit pick, the building is well exposed but the sky is blown out. So I played with the image a bit to darken it and get rid of the blueish color cast. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted July 25, 2012 Only the Canadian white sky spoils the beauty of the overall picture! Best regards Maria PDE Link to comment

sgust 1 Posted August 19, 2012 I don't know what image editor you have/use, I'm familiar with GIMP. It has a tool called the perspective tool. When you select the tool and then click on the image, small squares appear at the corners of the image which you can drag around distorting the image in the process. The goal is to get the lines that are parallel in reality parallel in the image. I would imagine that most image editors have something similar. Hope this helps. Link to comment
