Noon light is very flat. This is a postcard, and no more. Had you shot at dawn or dusk...

This was not shut at noon, Les, but it was 7.30 a.m.... Unfortunately it was a cloudy morning, so the light was uniform, quite flat. If it was noon and sunny you would have seen a more contrasy scene, with harsh shadows.
