Estupenda toma. Original tronco y raices, con una luz, tonos y detalle excelente.

Un cordial saludo -Tolo.

The roots in front remind me of configurations of legs and feet, adding a touch of anthropomorphism, and thus sadness,  to this stump of what was a tree and is now being reclaimed by what it used to shade, protect, and beautify.  A kind of a death by the water.

Everything transforms eventually.  I like how the old stump retains vestiges of what it used to be, even as it evolves or devolves into something else.

I love moss.  If I could have a whole lawn full of moss, I would.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it.

Donna, it really does look like arms, legs and long fingers, grasping & clutching. Even more so from the other side. Well, it  is death for the tree, but the beautiful moss has found a home. It's good to hear from you.

Jeff, I love moss too. I never thought of it for a lawn. I wonder if that would be possible? No more lawn mower. Fantastic idea.

Best wishes,

Linda

Another nice shot Linda.  Great details in the 'old stump'.....I love happening upon unique forms such as this in the woods.   Great lighting and textures. warm regards, Gail
