Sunrise and Rain in Hustai National Park, Mongolia

When we saw the weather we hesitated to get up early from ourcamp-site in the Hustai National Park in Mongolia. But finally we didit and we reached the ridge just before sunrise. As you can see it wasworth the trouble.

That's a cracking good shot, well worth getting up early. The clouds are fabulous (mamatus?) and the two figures against the dawn light beautifully composed. In mongolia they say 'get up early and see one good thing, or stay in bed and hear one good thing" (or something like that). Regards erik

Outstanding, this is one of the best photos I have seen for a while. The human figures make it perfect, your composition with low horizon underlines the power of this sky. I thought about b&w but the pale first sunlight against the blue is another feature hard to let go. Hats off !
