Gregory, you have done justice to the matriarch. really nice colors, and also good use of light. i think this is a arum lily rather than the calla lily. regardless very nice image.

Sorry took so long - been putting up hay and no time for anything else.

Had to look up arum - I guess the white, hardy ones are such, although still referred to as calla in the vernacular :)

Thanks for the note.

Greg,  can relate to the importance of getting the hay processed why you can. When i worked in the alps i went with my boss collecting hay one time. he with scissors would cut all the grass around fence post, and anything in the ditch besides the road he would cut with a hand scythe. i mean there was never one blade of grass wasted. this same boss was driving on his tractor one day with me sitting on the trailer. his tractor was actually only a roto tiller with a wee trailer being pulled. anyway he stopped got off that wee machine and walked to the front of the tractor picked up a snail that was crossing the road and took it to the other side. i fell in love with the guy on the spot. thats my kind of farming.

read your comment on my last nude, yes the lady was a wee bit deprived as far as breasts go. i dont do anything with my old nudes to fix them up. most are just simple scans of old images.

lots of folks get arums and callas mixed up. the green ones you find around lots of old homesteads and growing in creek beds is normally the arum. they are just always green.

where do you call home?

stay well,

roger
