Far Away Land

A remote desert plain in the Saline Valley, California photographed under the full moon.  My shutter was just under 10 minutes at f/16 and ISO 1000, capturing the motion of both clouds and stars streaking across the sky.  The full moon was visible for about 1/4 of this exposure, which was a good thing because otherwise it would have been too much dynamic range for one exposure in all likelihood.  The moon's glow adds some color the cracks in the foreground, much like the setting sun would.
