marcadamus 1 Posted June 7, 2010 Dramatic skies, illumination of the sandstorm behind the dunes and a lone Sagebrush, dying on a cracked desert playa. Feel free to offer any critique, comments or questions. Link to comment
mpitak 0 Posted June 7, 2010 Marc, lovely textures are there. Desert surface reminds me a raptile skin. Together with this funky perspective and dramatic sky your photo gives quite unrealistic mood. Brilliant! Regards, Mateusz Link to comment
dcollierphoto 0 Posted June 8, 2010 No critique, I just really like the image. Great sky, great highlight on the mountains. Those Death Valley sand storms can be beautiful. Fantastic job! Link to comment
dallalb 0 Posted June 8, 2010 Stunning shot, Marc! It seems it was taken on another planet! I find the composition perfect and the vignetting effect you added (I think you added in post processing) is a real bonus to concentrate te viewer's attention. As always, no conventional images from you.Regards, Alberto. kahkityoong 0 Posted June 8, 2010 I'm not sure if it's my imagination but that bright area looks very slightly toned down here compared to the one on NPN, which makes it look perfect IMO. One of your best. Link to comment

ricklundh 0 Posted June 9, 2010 Marc, Very dynamic image here. It has a lot of interest. I'm not going to say that this is one of your top ten (that would be too difficult to pick). I see a different comp here that is stronger, IMHO. I see this image as: cropping half the sky (exactly), then brighten up the great glow on the cracked plates and especially that dead sage. It would eliminate the attention going to that big bright spot which pulls too much of the attention away from the real story in this image, which is the fg. What do you think? Link to comment

sreegraphy 0 Posted June 10, 2010 Color and composition is incredible... Little fallen dry tree adds nice flavor to the image with symbolic representation... Link to comment
