Thought-provoking, Bob.  Though they are looking different ways they feel to me as one.  Also the flagged pavement could be a metaphor for the road of life -- which they have obviously travelled for a long time (presumably together).  Jim

It looks as though they are helping each other: the man needs help walking, and perhaps the woman's mind wanders a bit. It is so nice to see an older couple together, when it seems they have been together for a long time. Thanks for sharing.
