marcadamus 1 Posted June 6, 2010 Layers of sandstone contrast streaks left behind from an occasional muddy waterfall. I photographed up toward this perspective from about 80ft down inside a remote narrow canyon. The difference in color throughout the image comes from the varying degrees of reflected light off opposing walls. The view is enhanced by compression from the 120mm lens I used for the capture, making the layers appear closer together. I blended two photographs to achieve the depth of field I needed. scottsmorra 0 Posted June 7, 2010 The range of tones here is amazing. The vertical streaks really lead the eye nicely through the frame. I spent a long time admiring the beautiful colors and textures in this one. - Scott Link to comment
