Gilded Cage

This is one case, albeit a rare one for me, where I understand that the respect of the said "rules" add to the effect.  The placement of the bird, the ascending liagonal lines and the counterbalance brought about by the shaded area to the upper left all contribute to give a strong image, bravo.
