markvmueller 0 Posted June 5, 2010 The fantastic Skleton Coast of Namibia derives its name from the manyshipwrecks along the cost due to the forces of the unpredictableBenguela Current. Out of which Ghost Crabs emerge to patrol the shorefor other more edible skeletons. This amazing stretch of landhas an amazing wildlife, it takes a little time and well, some specialpermits, to enter most parts of it. I had the luck to cruise theshores with the Rangers - lots of fun driving along the beach just atwaterline and racing at high speed towards a crab, jumping out of thejeep and hurling myself in front of it with my 20mm before the GhostCrab races back into the dark Benguela waters.
