sv solomon photography 0 Posted June 6, 2010 I know, ... you begin with beautiful models. How can you go wrong? Then, you entice them with your suave and your portfolio of magnificant photos. You are good.Is this your hobby, or your occupation? You are good and the results are fantastic. It's a wonder and your photographs are wonderful.Once, while a student of art, I was enlightened to the fact that lighting would be best understood by viewing the female form under specific lighting conditions. This, of course, was most interesting and I got it. I sketched some drawings with some unusual texture created by just my hand movements. To my surprise, many of the other students found them interesting. I have longed to repeat that moment.I am not a photographer who seeks to photograph nudes, but I view your nudes to study your lighting and understand its affect on shape. After all, the female form is exquisite and never mundane. What I have discovered is that simplicity is key. You have kept your lighting to the bare minimum. Your models are naturally beautiful, casual and spontaneous. There are no pre-conceived or contrived settings. This characteristic has enabled you to accomplish photography of your subjects within a realm that is enviable.Keep at it my friend. You obviously have the talent and the results are evident. John Peri 1,007 Posted June 6, 2010 Ha Stephen .. I was amused to read your message, many thanks!Photography is a hobby which has allowed me to keep my sanity under an alias all these years while working 10 hours a day or more in research, teaching, then finally in industry. Drugs, test tubes, airplanes and disease have surrounded me most of this time. An escape was vital ...and still is. The universe is intertwined, it's all related. Sure the ingredients are chosen carefully, and of course the portfolio feeds on itself, but i will say with all immodesty that the most dificult part is not the photography per se. It's choosing the right models, encouraging them to participate (many for the first time) and maintaining the kind of relationship that is conducive to complicity and trust. That's what it is really all about. Having fun too .. it's contageous, some of the more unhappy and conflictual poeple out there should try it... an afterthought Stephen. I don't think that women appreciate suaveness as much as straightforwardness, respect and good manners. What they don't like is when men behave like pigs. Link to comment
