LenMarriott 9 Posted June 5, 2010 Thanks for your views. Quite a compliment from someone who obviously knows how to photograph flowers. Best, LM. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted June 8, 2010 Love the OOF rendering here, great colors and nice contrast of sharp and soft. The tight framing was a good idea, as was the long lens to isolate the flower detail. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted June 9, 2010 Sometimes we are lucky enough to have an image unfold as we pre-visualized it. For me, this is such an image. This one was shot at f5.6 (full open) and 300mm. Thanks for your input. Best, LM. Link to comment

je.barreto1 0 Posted June 15, 2010 Three good, and beautiful, marriages: between flowers, between the colors, between light and shadows.DOF is effective, comp is lovely.Thank you! Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted June 15, 2010 Thanks for your visit and your views. Your own portfolio deserves a more in-depth viewing, certainly more than can be given in one short visit. Due to it's sheer size it'll probably take me the better part of 2010 to give it a good going over. :-) Best, LM. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted June 15, 2010 Welcome aboard. Thanks for the critique. It is most appreciated. Best, LM. Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted June 17, 2010 Thanks for your appraisal. I am pleased with the outcome matching my pre-visualization. Doesn't happen often. :-( Best, LM. Link to comment
3m 0 Posted June 20, 2010 Hi Len, No, I don't see this one as a cliché at all -- I see it as an original composition -- I like tulips (yes, I'm Dutch ;-) -- They are strong, simple flowers, and I think that your capture of these two is simple and clever. Best regards, Marjolein Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted June 20, 2010 Thanks for the vote of confidence. Most times simple is indeed better. I guess that's why I liked this one so much. I did have to lay down on the grass for this one but that was the only difficulty. No, wait a minute, I remember now, getting back up was the problem. :-) Best, LM. Link to comment
kathyb 34 Posted June 22, 2010 Len, What do you scan your negatives with? This one's awesome! Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted June 22, 2010 Thanks for your enthusiastic appraisal. For 35mm film I use a Minolta Scan Dual ll. Maximum resolution is 2820 ppi which provides a 7 or 8 mb file, enough for a 16 x 24 though I've never gone beyond 12x18. Best, LM. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted June 25, 2010 I like that you took the time to view & comment. Many thanks. LM. Link to comment
