To me, this photo is all about gesture, a very significant aspect of photographs. In mimicking each other, they establish a visual connection, as well by the fact that they are so enthralled in looking at what they're looking at. The foreground detritus keeps the photo grounded, less universalized, a little more personal. It's simple, endearing, and draws us into a world of two.

[On another note, I can't help but notice that you haven't been commenting on my work for quite some time and it seems to have timed to when we had some political disagreements on the Off-Topic forum. I don't go over to that forum anymore as I found it rather unproductive. Nevertheless, I hope that whatever differences we had there don't translate to our respect for each other as photographers. I have always valued your photographic contributions.]

Fred how could you think that any disagreement (which ones?) could come between us when it comes to appreciating your work as photographer. Disagreements, if they arrive, are the very essence of exchanging viewpoints. Without them dialogues and exchanges become without reason and anything but fertile.

If I have been less active here on Photonet it is only because of being hanged up by professional matters for some time. i'll be back and look forward seeing hart you have been up to the last months.

Thanks Fred for your comments on these, I think, lovely twin ladies from Cyprus.

I turn 63 next week. They are looking pretty good. One of those priceless moments. You were ready when the moment arrived!

Thanks GungaJim. Actually I was not ready at all. I had to fetch my camera deep in my bag, but they stayed like that as frozen in time. Happy birthday !

A fantastic mix of grace and humor, of beauty and reality.  The two pairs of shoes pointed opposite their gaze add a second wave.

For editorial this is average. But as a reportage image its excellent. I really like it. I would be nice to see more of your proofs from this series, had you the chance to move around...excellent eye!
