Art, the bottom of this one appears a wee bit messy. I think it would tidy up image to do a crop from bottom up to pad. Will do it to show you what i mean. To me this new version just seems a wee bit smoother in the frame. But if you were to tell me to keep my little pinkies off of your image would not blame you. You could almost make a career out of this seed head.

Thanks Gamini, Janegbert, Roger, Harry for your kind comments :)

Roger, thank you again for your thoughtful comments, this is very appreciated to have you sharing ideas and advice, this helps improving and challenging our views. I like your framing, it makes a very geometrical picture with less descriptive content. I have been tempted to experience croping but to my eyes there was always something missing and was not completely satisfied with the result.

Here, the intent was to bring some imperfection into the frame with the bottom part, contrasting with the geometrical pattern of the seeds. And the black seed adds to this 'almost perfection'. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts and making me thinking on how to improve. I always look for your comments on my and other's photos, as they are always constructive :)

I like the original one, the stem adds much to the presentation. I wonder when you might run out of ideas! I really like this series and look forward to what you will inspire us with next.

All the best, Pamela

Art, my wife's opinion is exactly the same as Pamela's. i also think you have achieved what you set out to. i have played around with your image a bit more just moving the crop up and down. are really a lot of options available with this image.  thank you also for your kind words. i do feel i have something to offer here on p/n,  at least in the flower section and i seldom ever leave it.  on saying that i also realize anything i do say is just my opinion and nothing more. there are members on here who have forgot more than i shall ever know.   but i know of no member who has put more hours into both taking, and marketing flower images than what i have, at least in the last 10 years. have considered it almost a addiction.  now i seldom take a image. my pleasure is now looking at other peoples images ( most always flowers ) and having a rave about them. to me there is no right way and wrong way, just lots of different ways.

Thank you Pamela and Roger for your nice comments, really appreciated. Roger, totally agree with you, not one but several ways, that's what makes it so addicting I guess, and finding the one that best fits our view. I am looking for your next comment(s) and ideas. Best of all :)
