Tony,   I appreciate your perusing my old images.  There is an orchid show in March at our arboretum that offers opportunities to get some interesting captures.  It's true, orchids take on some extraterrestrial features.

Almost surreal.  I can see this one matted and framed to make the colors pop even more. 

Michael,   Thanks for your visit.  Getting comments on "older" images in my portfolio is always a delight.  Orchids are amazing flowers that take on all kinds of perceptions.  You are correct - even though this is a realistic macro image, the nature of the flower's face creates surreal interpretations.  Thanks  again, Michael.  Best to you.  Larry
