arnav 7 Posted May 28, 2010 A green rainy summer day in Massachusetts. This is a panoramic stitchfrom 4 shots taken from inside my car (parked of course). I used thesteering wheel as a support to ensure the camera was rotatedapproximately about the nodal point of the lens. Your comments and improvement tips are welcome! Thanks!Arnav Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted May 28, 2010 Arnav... Excellent panoramic - makes me feel like I'm right there with you. Surprising that the windshield didn't cause more distortion... and no bugs! :-)... Great shot... Mike Link to comment

arnav 7 Posted June 1, 2010 Thanks for all your comments.Michael, yes I was surprised at the minimal windshield distortion too. But I had driven through pouring rain which acted as a car wash. Also the camera is focusing at near infinity so the windshield is pretty out of focus. Thanks again.CheersArnav Link to comment

mbh 0 Posted June 12, 2010 Beautifully done panorama, I love the idea of driving through the rain and using your car wheel to mark where to take each picture. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted July 2, 2010 Very good - maybe it is in the details - what lens and what 'zoom' did you use? Link to comment
arnav 7 Posted July 3, 2010 Thanks guys for your comments. It is greatly appreciated.Tony, I used a Canon 5DM2 that I had got my hands on for a week for a body. I used the 50mm f/1.4 prime for a lens that I usually use on my Rebel XTi. I was sad when I had to give back the 5DM2.I stitched the pictures (5 of them I think) with Hugin. Hugin is nice for panos and it is available for both Mac and PC. But I seem to be liking Microsoft ICE (windows only) a lot. Thanks againArnav Link to comment
