Meir,

Do you feel that her right hand is more white and blown up? I ask you whether you can also see the same in your computer? If answer is yes, why is it happening?

Regards,

Susmit

she gives deep contemplation to a food menu, Meir, as it should always be ;-} for me, all your lighting and angle choices keep excellent focus on the act of menu reading. dp

Yes there is.  The "blowout" is because she is facing the window. Attaching a BEFORE and AFTER attempt but it does not  natural. I don't know much about photoshop. Thank you for commenting.

Meir,

this is somehow a predictable shot. Predictable not in any negative sense, only that each of us can spot similar scenes in our everyday life.

It is definitely a simple and good picture.

I don't think there are particular issues with lighting. We sometimes stress our visual media, be it film or digital sensors.

What I definitely admire in your photography is that you get close. Rigorously a 50mm (full size sensor).

I like to photograph human beings and to do that I think I have to get close, to get "into" the picture somehow.

You do this.

L.

I just come across your comment which I had forgotten (sorry). Because I have a new Desk Top PC, and because I am trying to calibrate the new monitor to the printer, it comes to mind that the bottom line is how the print appears on paper -not on a screen. Hopefully one can get a close match -but close match depends somewhat on the printer paper. I printed this photo on Somerset Moab Velvet  Rag Mat which is a warm paper and the print looks better. I also printed this on Hahnemuhle Smooth Bright Rag Mat which is colder and the photo appears on my monitor more like in this posting (on my monitor). Ideally one could stock papers and select the paper which is best for the picture. But photo paper is expensive.
