carlwakefield 0 Posted May 26, 2010 A nice series on the this old station and lines but I must say you colour velvia pictures are more my taste. I find these B/W lack that punch in the contrast or maybe the sky would come out better with a yellow or red filter. But still a nice series. Link to comment
Gianluigi Albanese 73 Posted May 26, 2010 Carl thanks for your commentThe Velvia is a fantstic film that I have often used.In mine portfolio the section Ellas 2005 contains photos made with the velviaBut I prefer the less pumped colors of the Provia or Velvia 100In this case I have used a yellow filter (Y2), but the red filter is too much dramatic for this photo.I love the BW and in this case it is apt to describe an old railway station. For the sky a mask must be used for PS and press both.Mine scanner it is not good.ThanksGianluigi Link to comment
niki3 0 Posted May 26, 2010 ciao gianluigi, bello il titolo, dà la sensazione di una fuga da un binario morto o da una stazione abbandonata.... bella la scelta del bianco e nero a sottolineare la desolazione del posto Link to comment
Funtak 0 Posted June 9, 2010 Very good composition, b/w is logical choice the way I feel. The fact is that if you have taken this photo in another part of a day it would sure look differently. Remindes me somehow of "High noon" old western movie..BR, vf Link to comment
